Little Faith is a little, beat up ceramic kitten I found on a shelf in a thrift shop. She should have had a matching 'mother kitty' statue, but I guess it was gone or broken. Faith was so beat up - chips and cracks all over - but she was so sweet and trusting, still a little smile on her face.
Amazingly, the original owner didn't toss her out even though the other statue was broke, nor had the thrift shop discarded her as another little worthless knick-knack; something about little Faith and her upturned face just made her hard to throw away.
And I found her. A tiny, shabby, lonely, yet strangely trusting little ceramic piece, who came home with me to remind me that being damaged doesn't mean you can't inspire others with your beautiful soul.
She makes me smile every day.
