Szálka, Hungary, July 2009

Szálka is a charming village 10 km from Szekszárd. On a hot summer day, I rode there to shoot the lake area. The first eight pictures were taken there, around midday, and the last four photos were shot on the way back to Szekszárd. The blue chapel is a landmark: it is on the top of a hill, so the happy cyclist can relax a bit after pushing the vehicle (and walking beside it) for 2 km or so. Reaching the chapel rewards you with a nice view of vineyards, and then you can easily roll downhill; just don't forget to use that brake :) ('Szálka' is the Hungarian word for 'fishbone')
